Void hunters download5/7/2023 I got 2,001 downloads yesterday and I've already gotten 229 today. I figured I had to get at least 50 people to download it from a listing there, so fifty cents per reader? Okay. I guess the line of consideration falls somewhere between $66 and $100. If it was $65, I would have done it without really having to consider it. Buying a feature spot for Fantasy/Paranormal is $100. I didn't know about Freebooksy, but my girlfriend and several of her friends find free books on there all the time. Bringing it down to 99 cents got some downloads. I really wasn't sure how to get my book into people's hands. I don't know much about promotion and marketing and advertising. Realmwalker was the first novel I'd ever finished, and I self-published it. I released the sequel, The Void Hunters, on October 12. I'm not super optimistic about those numbers, but I'll keep you posted on what kind of results I get from each promotion. I'd have to sell over 600 books to break even on that. I'm also thinking about running a feature on BookBub, but that's $1,250 for a book over $2. Interestingly enough, the BargainBooksy feature is only $40, so the promotion that could actually get me some money on sales is less than half the price of the promo that told people they could download the book for free. (Expect book 3 in November!)įreebooksy has a sister site called BargainBooksy that features books $4.99 and under. The Void Hunters has some sales and Kindle Unlimited reads, so some of you finished Realmwalker and moved on to book 2! Thank you very much! I am very appreciative, and very happy that you're enjoying the story. My rankings were fantastic.Īmazon Best Sellers Rank: #94 Free in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Free in Kindle Store) #2 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Literature & Fiction > Action & Adventure > Fantasy I got 2,486 downloads on Friday and Saturday alone. Two teens, a drug addict, a corporate ladder climber – their lives are linked to their fairies. Realmwalker by Jonathan Franks: It begins with a baby’s first laugh. I didn't realize that so many other synopses were much longer than that and I didn't actually check to see whether the 250 character limit was enforced. I got my pre-readers to help with that and we managed to get it under the 250 character limit on the submission form. It took some time to come up with a good, succinct synopsis. It cost $100 and they put Realmwalker on the list of free fantasy books. I realize the code might be old and outdated, but I believe the investment would be well worth it.Last Friday, 16 October, 2015, I ran a feature on Freebooksy. We aren't really asking for updates, just the games. The edits I've suggested surely would only take a day or two to do for one programmer, then release it in exe/jar/app format. Jagex, please release FunOrb games for us. Not to mention, I've seen massive interest in Arcanist too. I believe somewhere in the $15 range would be totally worth it just for the standalone application with some very minor edits: remove ship complexity (probably just a variable), blueprint ship designs saved locally (surely that can just be broken down and put in a text file, right?) and being able to play LAN would be nice. I don't want to have to hack it or try to steal it, I'LL GLADLY PAY FOR IT. Yes, I recognize this isn't the most ethical thing to do, but this game was so much fun to me! I can play by myself in the sandbox (using the runescape client, not in a browser), but my biggest 2 frustrations are the complexity limit and only temporarily being able to save my creations (a slightly smaller frustration would be map size, but not as much). Every few months I go into a spiraling defeat of trying to get the source code for Void Hunters.
